Rules:

1.     All exhibits to be in place by 10.45 am. 

2.     Judging commences 11.00 am prompt.

3.     Entry to be accompanied by a sealed envelope containing name and address of exhibitor.  Children to put age on outside of envelope in right hand corner.

4.     Only one exhibit per class.

5.     Entry to be inside plastic bag unsealed as easier to remove for judging than cling film.

6.     Once entry is judged it will be returned to plastic bag.

7.     Eggs must be from hens belonging to the Exhibitor.  Poultry judge is entitled to crack an egg.

8.     Entry in the adult section is 50p per entry, children are free.

9.     All awards are made at judge’s discretion and judges say is final.

10.  Prize money to be collected from Stewards in the tent on day of show.

General points for Competitors

1.     Please follow schedule carefully and note number required i.e. if three or four items stated that is what is wanted.

2.     If a minimum of maximum size is stated, please keep to sizes.

3.     If it asks for decorated sponge cake or fruit cake the judge will be looking for a decorated cake and will probably cut cake unless it stipulates decoration only to be judged.

4.     If it asks for a Victoria Sponge Cake either jam filled or left plain the judge will be looking for two separate sponge cakes put together.

5.     All jams and chutneys to have a wax disc which is put on as soon as jar is filled and jars filled to the very top to allow for shrinkage when cool and either a cellophane top or lid, (not both), labelled and dated.
